I am sorry.
Ha! One way to tell how much I have absorbed British culture, after living here for over 10 years — is by starting a post by apologising.
While normally I agree that we throw out apologies too casually, this time I feel that I have a legitimate reason to say ‘I am sorry’. I forgot to introduce myself on the introduction post.
How rude.
Now let’s rectify this awkward situation. Why don’t we start with a name? I am Mel. Nice to meet you.
At this moment I do identify myself as female, and was born this way. Currently I am slowly but surely marching towards the end of my 30’s. I am currently work as a chef, and against all odds happily married.
I like pink. I have nothing against yellow. I listen to cheesy music. I think I like music that ages like cheese anyway — the older it gets, the cheesier it becomes. On the subject of cheese, I might just add that I like cheese, but not as much as some psychos out there who put cheese on everything. My answer to what my favourite cheese is, is exactly my answer to what my favourite alcohol is– depends on the situation.
I used to read a lot, and I would like to go back into that. I think our library is great because now I can just borrow e-books without having to lift my arses off my chair. I also used to write a lot, and I also would like to go back into that. I thought WP apps is wonderful because it means I can write anywhere anytime, but no. I think best way for me is to dedicate time for myself, and sit down in front of my computer or laptop.
I think I am an introvert, because I always think that I am not doing very well in a crowd setting. But someone told me that I am apparently an ambivert. I had to google that and thought, ‘ooh yea… maybe I am one of those’. But I don’t know about this subject, I am not particularly an expert.
I like seeing beautiful scenery, but I have to say that regretfully I am not at all outdoorsy. What it means is that although I like to go out to see beautiful sky and mountain, I prefer enjoying them from the comfort of my car seat. Or in short: I am not going camping with you — will consider glamping with a lot of caveat.
I like LOTR and Star Trek. But I am not going to go as far as saying I like fantasy and sci fi, because I am not a fan of GoT and Star Wars. If this is a deal breaker for you, then… oh well. I mean… I do tolerate Harry Potter, if that helps?
Last but not least, I am also very sleepy. It has been a long day for me, actually. Maybe I will talk about it some day, but for now I think it is better for me to rest my fluffy head on my pillow.
It would be nice to get to know you too… so if you don’t mind leaving me a line or two, about who you are, that would be wonderful.
